emnify offers AI integration in two places.
On docs.emnify.com, anyone can use the chat widget and our public MCP server to ask questions grounded in emnify's public documentation.
emnify customers can also use the Portal AI assistant, which is actively enhanced by the emnify team.

## Public AI tools

The AI tools on docs.emnify.com have access to emnify's public documentation.

### Chat widget

The chat widget is available on every page of docs.emnify.com.
Open it from the search bar or click **Ask AI** and ask a question in natural language to get answers grounded in the documentation, with links back to the source pages.

### Public MCP server

Our public MCP server lets MCP-compatible AI clients - such as Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, VS Code, ChatGPT, and Codex - access emnify documentation directly from your development environment.
You can use it with an LLM to help build integrations and access emnify platform APIs.

The MCP server is available at `https://docs.emnify.com/_mcp/server`.

## Customer AI tool

The Portal AI assistant is available to anyone with an emnify account, including free trial accounts.

The Portal AI assistant is a chat widget available inside the [emnify Portal](https://portal.emnify.com/) that answers questions about emnify products and documentation in natural language.
Sign in to the Portal and open the assistant to start asking questions - no extra setup required.

This is the recommended option for one-off questions while you work in the Portal.

## Rate limits

The chat widget, public MCP server, and Portal AI assistant each have platform-managed rate limits set by their providers.
