> Reset a forgotten emnify Portal password from the login page, or change your password in User Settings

You can reset your emnify Portal password if you've forgotten it, or change it from **User Settings** if you know your current password.

> This guide is for users who log in to the Portal with an email address and password.

## Reset a forgotten password

To reset your password, request a reset link from the login page.
You don't need to log in again afterward.

Go to the [emnify Portal login page](https://portal.emnify.com/sign) and enter your email address.

Click **Reset password**.

On the **Forgot password** page, check that the email address is the one you registered with, then click **Send me a reset link**.
The **Check your email account** page confirms that emnify sent the instructions.

>
> Check your spam folder if you don't receive the email after a few minutes.

Open the email from emnify and click **Set new password**.
The link expires in 3 hours.

Enter your new password in **Password** and **Confirm password**, then click **Set as new password**.

Click **Proceed to portal**.
The Portal opens and you're logged in.

If the link has expired, request a new one by repeating these steps.

## Change your password

If you know your current password, change it in **User Settings**.

Open [**User Settings**](https://portal.emnify.com/user-settings).
You can also click the avatar with your initials in the top-level navigation.

In the **Authorization** section, click **Change password**.

Enter your password in **Current password**.
Enter your new password in **New password** and **Confirm new password**.

Click **Change password**.
