AI assistance at emnify

emnify partners with Kapa to provide AI-powered assistance grounded in emnify’s published documentation. You can use it inside the emnify Portal or connect it to AI tools in your development environment.

Where you can use it

Portal AI assistant

The Portal AI assistant is a chat widget available inside the emnify Portal that answers questions about emnify products and documentation in natural language. No setup is required. Sign in to the Portal and open the assistant to start asking questions.

This is the recommended option for one-off questions while you work in the Portal.

emnify MCP server

The emnify MCP server is a hosted endpoint at https://emnify.mcp.kapa.ai that exposes emnify documentation to MCP-compatible AI clients such as Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, VS Code, ChatGPT, and Codex. Once configured, you can ask emnify documentation questions from inside your editor or AI assistant without leaving your development environment.

For setup instructions, see emnify MCP server.

What Kapa can and can’t access

The same data-handling boundaries apply to both the Portal AI assistant and the emnify MCP server.

  • Kapa only reads from emnify’s published knowledge sources, such as the documentation on docs.emnify.com and public help articles. It can’t access your emnify account, Workspaces, devices, SIMs, or any other personal or customer-specific data.
  • Conversations are reviewed by the emnify team to monitor answer quality and improve the knowledge sources over time. Don’t share sensitive information such as application tokens, passwords, or personal data in your queries.
  • Responses are generated by a language model and may be incomplete or out of date. Verify critical information against the official documentation or contact emnify Support when in doubt.

Rate limits

The emnify MCP server is rate-limited per user at:

  • 40 requests per hour
  • 200 requests per day

The Portal AI assistant has its own limits managed by Kapa.
