Manage automations in the emnify Portal beta

The following guides help you get the most out of Automations in the emnify Portal by walking you through common tasks such as adding rules and customizing the events log.

Events log

You can view event logs and customize the table display under the Events log tab. This helps you to investigate device and SIM activity.

Customize the table

The customizable table gives you full control over how your event data is displayed. For more information, see Customize tables in the emnify Portal.

Rules

Learn how to add and manage automation rules based on SIM-related events. Rules let you automate responses to specific SIM or device activity. When triggered, rules can perform actions such as sending email notifications to keep your team informed in real-time.

You can create and manage rules in the Rules tab in the emnify Portal.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Access to the emnify Portal
  • Permission to manage automation rules in your Workspace

  1. In the Portal, go to Automations > Rules
  2. Click Add rule.
  3. In the Set up your Rule dialog, click Edit next to the default rule name to give it a descriptive name (optional).

Step 2 - Select the trigger
