Manage automations
The following guides help you get the most out of Automations in the emnify Portal by walking you through common tasks such as adding rules and customizing the events log.
Events log
You can view event logs and customize the table display under the Events log tab. This helps you to investigate device and SIM activity.
Customize the table
The customizable table gives you full control over how your event data is displayed. For more information, see Customize tables in the emnify Portal.
Export the events log
You can export the events log as a CSV file for offline analysis in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or BI platforms.
Exports include the first 500 rows in your current table view. The export respects applied filters, sort order, and visible columns.
In the Portal, go to Automations > Events log tab.
Adjust the table view if needed:
- Apply filters (for example, date range, event type, or severity).
- Show or hide columns using the Customize tables feature.
- Reorder columns to change the order in the exported CSV.
Rules
Learn how to add and manage automation rules based on SIM-related events. Rules let you automate responses to specific SIM or device activity. When triggered, rules can perform actions such as sending email notifications to keep your team informed in real-time.
You can create and manage rules in the Rules tab in the emnify Portal.
