Data usage per coverage area

The Data usage per coverage area report is a dashboard showing data consumption (in MB) broken down by coverage area and data plan. Use this report to understand where your fleet is consuming data, identify high-usage zones, and compare usage across data plans.

Questions this report answers

  • Which coverage areas is my fleet consuming data in?
  • How much data did my SIMs consume in a specific coverage area?
  • Which data plan and coverage area combination accounts for the most usage?
  • What is the total data volume across all coverage areas for a given period?
  • How does usage break down between regional zones and satellite coverage?

Log in to your emnify account.

Navigate to Reports.

Select Data usage per coverage area from the report list.

Available data

The final Summary row shows the total MB across all data plan and coverage area combinations. Each column can be used to sort the table. The table includes a search bar and a dropdown to show 10, 20, 50, 100, or 200 (default) entries.

Apply filters

Click the filter icon at the top of the report to open the Filters panel.

Set your desired filters. For DateRange, click the calendar icon to open the time range editor, select a range type, and click Apply. Optionally, select a Workspace from the dropdown to narrow results.

Click Apply Filters to update the report.

To reset all filters, click Clear all.

Download report data

Each chart and table in this report includes a menu (vertical dots icon) with download options.

Click the vertical dots icon on the chart or table you want to download.

Select Download, then choose a format:

  • Export to .CSV — download as a comma-separated values file
  • Export to Excel — download as an Excel spreadsheet
  • Download as image — save a screenshot of the chart or table

The same menu also provides Force refresh to reload the data and Enter fullscreen to expand the chart or table.
